The MisEauVert project is structured in five work packages, each involving at least two partners. The first set of objectives focuses on collecting data on the behavior of nitrates and pesticide molecules in a Miscanthus field, both in the soil and in the groundwater. These data will be compared with those collected from other crops neighboring the Miscanthus field. Simultaneously, Miscanthus biomass will be harvested and valorized as animal bedding. The resulting manure will be assessed for its fertilizing potential and soil amendment properties. The fourth work package focuses on developing breeding tools and producing progenitors to diversify the varietal options. Indeed, the crop is currently limited to a single clone in France. Finally, the fifth work package coordinates the project and the various valorization outputs.
