Location of the drinking water catchement area (AAC)

Two fields are studied prior to miscanthus planting in order to obtain reliable measurements: one is located in a water catchment area near Dreux, and the other in a catchement area near Chartres.

To make a final decision on field selection, meetings were held with the owners of both fields and the relevant experts. In-situ measurements of water flow were taken, and an investigation was carried out to gather information on soil types and their potential spatial heterogeneity. Indeed, the water flow near the drains must be high enough to ensure the proper conduct of upcoming measurements. 

The first field is located in Tremblay-les-Villages.

The second field is located in St-Georges-sur-Eure.
